Louisiana Folk Art
by Mary Crochet
Originals
Each painting sold is an original and
therefore slight
variations from the picture may occur.
This enhances the value of the piece, and definitely is not a flaw.
Authenticity
A signed Certificate of Authenticity is shipped with each piece.
The Certificate states:
The approximate width, thickness, and height of each wood piece.
Canvas pieces when used.
Recycled materials when used.
The paint used.
Authorization of Mary's agent and includes contact information.
Certification that the piece is not a print and will not be sold as a print. It is
not one of many, but an individual piece.
Her paint brush created this very piece. For example, Mary may paint 100 "Egrets in the Swamp" paintings, but each
one is painted by her hand and has the individual 'signature' of itself.
Mary is grateful for your business and firmly believes anyone who
is generous enough to spend their hard earned money on her art
deserves an original painting.
Media
Mary specializes in painting on wood much the same,
as was done long ago when canvases were not readily available
to the simple folks of south Louisiana.
Size is Approximate
*Wood sizes are approximate.
Very close, but approximate.
Frames
Mary's art is sold unframed. This keeps the prices low and enables the customer to choose
just the right frame for the art, if any.
Display it
Some paintings can and sometimes do come with a
hanging apparatus already on it.
Sometimes a thin
painting may have two holes drilled with a wire to hang. This is a quaint
method of hanging and is very popular. If you should want to frame the piece, these
tiny holes would be covered by the frame.
Cypress is unique in every way. We add a hanging wire when possible.
Murals
Mary creates original Louisiana scene murals. *Restrictions and special conditions apply.

Delivery Time
The pictures you see on this site are 'stock photos' of Mary's work,
for lack of a better term. Mary will paint your picture just for you,
at the time of order. Unless we tell you differently, it should be
mailed out within a week of your
order. Most times much quicker. Please remember, these are originals.
Mary is very good at what she does. You'll be very pleased.
Shipping and Handling
Buyer pays shipping and handling.
The art is packed and shipped with the utmost care. We ship USPS Priority Mail for domestic orders and
Airmail Parcel Post for International orders. We have found this
to be the best methods to use to insure prompt delivery of un-damaged products.
For shipping to addresses outside of the continental United States, please
email us with the shipping address and we'll let you know the shipping and handling fees
and will discuss customs requirements. Again, buyer pays all shipping and handling costs including
duties and such.
Customer Satisfaction
While all sales are final,
Mary is very serious about customer satisfaction. These
are not just words. She'll bend over backwards to see that the customer is
happy with their new piece of art.
Please feel free to contact
her with any questions or concerns. She will do her best to make you, the valued customer, happy.
